Making a difference for young people in South Tyneside

South Tyneside Youth Council (STYC) are young people from across South Tyneside, aged 11 to 18 years old.

We meet regularly to discuss the issues affecting young people who are living in our borough.

What we do

We campaign for change!

Organising events, debates, and surveys, we gather your views and report back to council decision makers.

Latest campaign

Our new campaign theme for 2024-26 is 'Culture, Media and Sport'.

We are in the process of planning a series of events for students from across the borough to get involved in.

Fun at STYC

We are serious about listening to your views and making real change for young people living in South Tyneside but we're also serious about having fun!

We take part in team building days or just have some social time out for a meal or chill at the beach.

A fun day out!

Reaching new heights!
