Social Care Worker Benefits

As a valued member of our Children’s Social Care team all of our social care workers gain:

• Payment of initial Social Work England registration fees for NQSWs joining the Council on qualification.
• Retention payments for qualified Social Worker roles and those who manage Social Worker roles. This will increase the pay points for the Social Work Career Grade from SCPs 26 to 34 to the equivalent of SCPs 28 to 36 of the Council’s Pay and Grading Structure. Social Work management roles will benefit from an equivalent payment.
• Improved wellbeing offer, to be developed from staff focus groups.
• Further capacity provided around improving and developing practice through an additional Practice Improvement and Development Lead and Support role.
• More opportunities to provide feedback, share ideas, share good news stories, raise issues and have face to face contact with the Director.
• Recognition through relaunching the Star of the Month and introducing the Wall of Fame.
• Commitment to work towards manageable caseloads and ensure you have the right tools and support to undertake your role.
